Connor's Birthday Weekend!

We had such a great weekend!! Busy, busy, busy...but great! On Friday Connor turned 3(sniff, sniff). I know I sound like a broken record everytime I say this but I just can't believe how fast the time goes by, you know. Friday was also the Kokopelli Kids Trail race that Elijah and Connor competed in. This was Elijah's second time racing but Connor's first. They race in the pre-school- kindergarden age group and run a distance of 0.5 miles. It's a lot of fun for them, and with the help of Grandpa, I was able to get some great shots!!

Waiting at the start.

The gun goes off and Elijah promply pushes his little brother out of the way- hmmm

Elijah takes the lead....for a short time. :)

Wes said that half way thru the race Connor was asking for a piggy-back.

Go Connor!!

Elijah kickin' it in- Go Elijah!!

What a greeat race recovery snack- cookies and water.

We had Connor's B-day dinner/Race celebration at Fargos.

What a great way to end a great day- hot fudge sundae's- yum!!

The next day we celebrated Connor's third birthday. Our original plan was to have the party at Fox Run Park, but because the weather has been so hit-and-miss we played it safe and had it at our house.

Connor got a cool new bike.

Look out big brother...I'm right behind ya!

Uncle Matt got him this great soccer net which was a hit with all the kids!

Even the "big kids" had fun kickin' around the ball!

And finally it was cake time. Connor's birthday theme was bugs, so I made lady bug, butterfly, dragon fly and bee cakes. They sure were tasty!!

WOW, what an eventful day!!

And of course Sunday was mothers day. We had my family over to BBQ kabobs and just relax.

I am truly blessed!!

Tyler Turns 1

Here I am finally posting pictures of Tyler's first birthday. His birthday fell on April 11th, the day before Easter, so we decided to just have a combination Birthday Party/Easter celebration on that Sunday. We woke up bright and early Easter morning to quite a snow storm. Thank goodness it didn't keep the Easter bunny from visiting our house at some point during the night and hiding eggs thru out.

Once Grandpa and Grandma came over the boys were excited to get their Easter cards with a prize inside.

Tyler was so funny trying to open his birthday gifts. Really more interested in all the bags and tissue paper then the actual gift- figures! :)

Tyler got the neatest little car to drive from his big brothers. Elijah and Connor had a lot of fun taking turns pushing Tyler in it.

MAN,opening up presents is a lot of work!!!

By this point Tlyer needed a little pick-me-up so we figured it was cake time. Instead of baking a cake this year we decided to try those ice cream cup cakes from Cold Stone Creamery. Mmmmm, mmmmm, they sure were good. I think Tyler gave them his stamp of approval too!

Hurry up Dad, could you take any longer????

Thanks to everyone who helped make Tylers first birthday so special!! I can't believe he's already one,(sniff, sniff) where does the time go??
