Thankful

We had the most relaxing Thanksgiving ever this year. Instead of the traditional slaving in the kitchen, entertaining of the guests, or travel back and forth to family, we decided to spend Thanksgiving this year pampering ourselves! We hit Pagosa Springs and soaked in the hot springs for a couple of days. It was absolutly wonderful! We left on wednesday, the day before Thanksgiving, and stayed the night in The Springs resort. It was a bit of a drive, 4 hours, so by the time we got up there it was late afternoon, the kids were definitly antsy and we were all ready for a dip! We dropped off our bags, threw down some Subway and headed for the pools!

The hot springs at night is pretty cool! The resort was all lite up with christmas lights, which Connor loved. The nights air was so crisp and cool; next to the hot springs everything was a misty fog, you could barely see a foot in front of you. This was a bridge that ran across one of the ponds to the 109 degree spring-YIKES!!

There was also a fire pit in the middle of some of the pools with seating around it. A little gazebo set up for serving drinks ( I would assume on the warmer days! :)

So nice! It was great to soak in the springs after a long drive and on such a clear, cool night!

After soaking for a while we headed back to our room to let the boys burn off some energy.....

and then settled down for a viewing of Space Chimps.

We were a little unsure of what the morning would bring, Thanksgiving morning. It was reported that a big storm was blowing our way, supposed to hit around 3 am. We were bummed out because we figured that we would have to get up and leave right away in order to make it home safely. Much to our suprise we woke up to NO snow! This left time for another dip in the springs; and let me tell you this was an awesome way to wake up in the morning! The resort and it's springs were just as beautiful in the morning as they were all lite up at night!

After a few hours it began to rain so we had to leave. Packed up all our stuff and headed home to a pre-cooked meal by Honey Baked Ham! Yum!!! This was by far one of the nicest Thanksgivings I've ever had! Having the 5 of us together, spending quality time together, that is truly when I'm at my happiest. We have so much to be thankful for!! We ar SO blessed!

Wherefore art thou Tooth Fairy

Elijah has officially lost his first tooth! He realized it was loose on Saturday (only 2 days ago) and with much poking and proding has riped that sucker out! I kept thinking he would freak out once it finally came out- but noooooooooo. His first thoughts were, "so when is the tooth fairy coming??" Hmm, 6 year olds, go figure. Such bitter sweet moments. On one hand you love to see your babies growing up; learning and experiencing all the world has to offer. But on the other hand, want to keep them small and perfect forever! All these milestones are so bittersweet!

Easing into Fall!

Fall is here but you wouldn't even know it from the beautiful weather we had over the weekend. I'm talking shorts and tank-tops....for the first weekend of November....what?? It was great. So we decided to take advantage of the weather and took the boys to the park.

Our Disney World Trip

So we ventured out the first week of October to Florida to take the kiddos to Disney World and visit with an old college friend of mine. I must say a wonderful time was had by all! We were joined by my parents and brother; as well as, some good friends of my parents. We stayed at the Marriott Horizons Resort which is a pirate themed resort. Elijah choose the resort we stayed at and I must say it was pretty awesome. There was a huge pirate ship in the pool with all kinds of slides coming off it- we all had a blast!

Cool Slideshows

We actually hit all 4 theme parks, believe it or not. I think one of the kids favorite parks was the Animal Kingdom. There, the kids visited Camp Mickey/Minnie and went on a scavenger hunt and had their faces painted. We also went on a safari ride thru "africa" which was pretty awesome. You take a Jeep ride thru African lands and are able to see all kinds of animals in their natural enviroment. There is literally nothing between you and the animals- a neat experience!

After 6 days at Disney we were ready to head out for the beautiful beaches of Destin, FL to visit my friend, Kristi and her house full of boys as well. We had such a great time visiting them that I wished we could have stayed longer. They live in such a beautiful part of Flordia, absolutly beautiful white-sanded beaches that neither Wes or I have ever seen before. It took our breath away. It was also nice to have some other kids around that our kiddos could play with! Elijah hasn't stopped talking about how much fun he had playing with his friends in FL!

So as you can see a fun time was had by all and I can't wait to do it again! :)

Elijah

Our first baby, Elijah, will be turning 6 in September and starts Kindergarden this fall. He is the social butterfly of the family and can make friends with anyone, anywhere we go! When he was little and we would take him to the park or a playgroup, as soon as we got out of the car he would start running towards the kids yelling, "kids I'm here...I'm coming....kids I'm coming..." it was absolutly adorable! Elijah is a sports finatic, but at the time is more enthralled with Star Wars!! He will talk your ear off about who did what in which episode and why, never missing a beat. Elijah is a very compassionate child who never lets a day go by where he doesn't tell me that he loves me. He is an amazing older brother who can't wait to teach the little ones everything he knows.

Connor

Connor turned 2 on May 8th and is by far the "firecracker" of the family. I can say without hesitation that there is never a dull moment when Connor is around. His curiosity definitly gets the best of him and on most days there is never a pillow left unturned, couch cushion not jumped upon, bunk-bed not jumped off of or bouncy ball not launched thru the house. Connor loves watching movies: Monster Inc., Bugs Life and Ratattoulie being amongst his favorites; as well as, anyting that involves trucks...he's all boy! His best friend is his one and only Mr.Bear who is lovinly dragged thru out the house and endures numerous hugs and kisses all day long. Connor has a big heart and enjoys "throwing-down" with his big brother to see who really is "bigger?"

Tyler

Tyler was born April 11th 2008 and has been an angel since day 1. Well, he is only 3 months old so I suppose there's plenty of time for that to change! :) Tyler had a rough start into the world because he was born with punemonia and spent almost the first weeek of his life in NICU. He showed us what a trooper he was by making an amazingly fast recovery and has been all smiles ever since. He currently spends most of his days trying to roll over and has just recently discovered he has hands AND feet....he thinks they are truly amazing! Tyler also enjoys watching his older brothers in awe, dreaming of the day he too can be a part of their crazy wrestling fests.

My Life!

Welcome to our world! Life with three boys- where any given day may bring laughing, giggles, screaming and squeals, pushing, hugging, crying & whining. Bottles, diapers, spit-up, drooling, burping, farting and snorting. Lets not forget the biking, running, jumping, bouncing, cuts, scrapes, bruises and bleeding. Ahhhh- never a dull moment!! But one thing I can say for sure, is that every morning I wake up and marvel at what great adventures my boys will take me on today. And every night I drift off to sleep, not another ounce of energy to be spared through out my being- and know that I am blessed!!
